Exactly what I was looking for! I had been looking for a small bag to put my small SLR, a flash, and an extra lens, but that also could be used for a book or two, or maybe all that? I ordered a bunch of other bags, most made specifically for cameras, and they were all too bulky and padded. I know that puts my camera and lens at risk, but I didn't want something that felt and looked like a small padded cooler on my back. This bag is the perfect size and, if you plan ahead, you can certainly organize things like lens, books, etc. into the various pouches/compartments. I would have liked the strap to be slightly longer and for there to have been some contrasting stitching, trim, etc. It's certainly solid black though!
